Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction European & British Art, which included the work The Temple of Nike Apteros, seen from the Propylaea by William Blake Richmond. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,292.00 (€ 6,205.97). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blake Richmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Watchers in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 81,426.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European & British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Temple of Nike Apteros, seen from the Propylaea von William Blake Richmond zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.292,00 (€ 6.205,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Blake Richmond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Watchers im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.500,00 (€ 81.426,82).
