Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Trees by William Blake Richmond for GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,503.81). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blake Richmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Watchers in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 81,426.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Trees von William Blake Richmond für GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.503,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Blake Richmond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Watchers im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.500,00 (€ 81.426,82).
