Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Richard Colt Hoare could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper Online auction, the work Pembroke Castle From The North East, Wales changed hands for GBP 375.00 (€ 423.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Colt Hoare have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pembroke Castle, South Wales in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,008.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Colt Hoare konnte im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Online wechselte die Arbeit Pembroke Castle From The North East, Wales für GBP 375,00 (€ 423,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Colt Hoare auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pembroke Castle, South Wales im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.008,39).
