In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work Seven Oil Studies For Portraits Of Women, Including Two Of Florence And Kitty by James Jebusa Shannon. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,055.39), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Jebusa Shannon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Springtime in July last year with an auction result of GBP 529,200.00 (€ 631,958.79).

Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven Oil Studies For Portraits Of Women, Including Two Of Florence And Kitty von James Jebusa Shannon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.055,39) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Jebusa Shannon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Springtime im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 529.200,00 (€ 631.958,79).
