Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hugh Casson could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations auction, the work Three proofs for Sir Hugh Casson's Diary changed hands for GBP 352.50 (€ 541.11) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Hugh Casson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An original architectural plan for the Festival of Britain, 1951 in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,525.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hugh Casson konnte im Dezember 2002 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations wechselte die Arbeit Three proofs for Sir Hugh Casson's Diary für GBP 352,50 (€ 541,11) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00.
