Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work A tug on a French estuary (illustrated); and View of a Venetian lagoon by Hugh Casson for GBP 250.00 (€ 280.57). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Hugh Casson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An original architectural plan for the Festival of Britain, 1951 in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,525.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A tug on a French estuary (illustrated); and View of a Venetian lagoon von Hugh Casson für GBP 250,00 (€ 280,57) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00.
