In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Figures in a rowing boat on lake Windermere with the Langdale Pikes beyond sold for GBP 998.75 (€ 1,674.43) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Albert Waterlow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In His Hand are the Deep Places of the Earth' (Psalm XCV) in September 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 31,689.77).
