Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Down pastures-Sussex' by Ernest Albert Waterlow was sold in the British Art on Paper including the Collection and Studio of auction at Christies in London in March 2003. The price achieved of GBP 493.50 (€ 714.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Albert Waterlow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In His Hand are the Deep Places of the Earth' (Psalm XCV) in September 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 31,689.77).
