This artwork by Edwin Lutyens achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2017. In the The Collection of Paul F. Walter auction, the work A SERVING TABLE, CIRCA 1930 sold for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,407.09) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edwin Lutyens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A VITRINE DESIGNED FOR THE COUNTRY LIFE BUILDING, LONDON, CIRCA 1904 in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 33,861.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Edwin Lutyens erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Paul F. Walter wurde die Arbeit A SERVING TABLE, CIRCA 1930 für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.407,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edwin Lutyens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A VITRINE DESIGNED FOR THE COUNTRY LIFE BUILDING, LONDON, CIRCA 1904 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 33.861,00).
