Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Loch Eil by David Young Cameron. The price achieved of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,637.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Young Cameron have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Castle Urquhart and Loch Ness in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,851.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Loch Eil von David Young Cameron zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.637,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Young Cameron auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Castle Urquhart and Loch Ness im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.851,80).
