In October 2002 Christies in London held the auction THE SCOTTISH SALE, which included the work Still life with mussels by David Donaldson. The price achieved of GBP 9,560.00 (€ 15,122.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by David Donaldson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2003 the work Young girl in an interior was auctioned for GBP 10,516.00 (€ 15,359.57).
