In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work Port Patrick II by David Donaldson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,531.76), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by David Donaldson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Young girl in an interior in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 10,516.00 (€ 15,359.57).

Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Port Patrick II von David Donaldson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.531,76) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Donaldson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Young girl in an interior im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.516,00 (€ 15.359,57).
