Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a gentleman, small full-length, in a black suit and brown coat, holding a cane and top hat in his right hand, resting against a plinth with an extensive landscape beyond by Daniel MacNee was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2002. The price achieved of GBP 470.00 (€ 768.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel MacNee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of William Aird, member of the Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire Foxhounds, full-length, in hunting dress, standing by a green draped table, his right hand resting on a newspaper in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,083.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, small full-length, in a black suit and brown coat, holding a cane and top hat in his right hand, resting against a plinth with an extensive landscape beyond von Daniel MacNee kam im März 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of William Aird, member of the Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire Foxhounds, full-length, in hunting dress, standing by a green draped table, his right hand resting on a newspaper im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.083,87).
