Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 310.70 (€ 447.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustus Wall Callcott achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of The Grote Kerk, Rotterdam, With Figures And Boats In The Foreground in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 46,332.98).
