The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 525.00 (€ 713.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustus Wall Callcott achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of The Grote Kerk, Rotterdam, With Figures And Boats In The Foreground in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 46,332.98).
