This artwork by Alfred East achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2009. In the Victorian & Traditionalist Art auction, the work Twilight in Windsor Forest sold for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,764.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred East - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Amberley Bridge, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 25,138.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred East erzielte im Februar 2009 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Art wurde die Arbeit Twilight in Windsor Forest für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.764,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred East mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Amberley Bridge beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 18.500,00 (€ 25.138,36) versteigert wurde.
