Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work The Flatiron, New York by Alfred East. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,594.17). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred East - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Amberley Bridge, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 25,138.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Flatiron, New York von Alfred East zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.594,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred East mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Amberley Bridge beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 18.500,00 (€ 25.138,36) versteigert wurde.
