This artwork by Simone Cantarini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2014. In the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work Saint John The Baptist sold for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,735.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simone Cantarini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of A Seated Gentleman And A Lady Holding A Rosary in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 408,000.00 (€ 323,193.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Simone Cantarini erzielte im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit Saint John The Baptist für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.735,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simone Cantarini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of A Seated Gentleman And A Lady Holding A Rosary im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 408.000,00 (€ 323.193,92).
