Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Still life with vegetables and grapes by Simon Maris was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2000. Here, the upper estimate of NLG 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for NLG 1,287.22 (€ 547.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Maris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two young girls in the dunes in March 2000 with an auction result of NLG 23,404.00 (€ 9,956.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Still life with vegetables and grapes von Simon Maris wurde im März 2000 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von NLG 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für NLG 1.287,22 (€ 547,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Maris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two young girls in the dunes im März 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 23.404,00 (€ 9.956,60).
