Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saint Agnes by Simon Vouet was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 378,000.00 (€ 450,874.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Other works by Simon Vouet have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work Madonna and Child was auctioned for USD 504,000.00 (€ 469,667.32).
