Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A rocky landscape with a young shepherd playing a flute by Simon van der Does was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2014. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,065.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Simon van der Does have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A shepherdess and her son in a landscape; and A young shepherd and shepherdess reading a letter in a landscape in April 2005 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,075.84).

Die Arbeit A rocky landscape with a young shepherd playing a flute von Simon van der Does kam im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.065,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
