Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life Of Roses, Variegated Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Sculpted Vase, Together With Grapes And A Macaw by Simon Verelst for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,162.75). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Verelst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, irises, poppies and other flowers in a glass vase on a ledge in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 523,000.00 (€ 561,882.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still Life Of Roses, Variegated Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Sculpted Vase, Together With Grapes And A Macaw von Simon Verelst für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.162,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Verelst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roses, irises, poppies and other flowers in a glass vase on a ledge im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 523.000,00 (€ 561.882,25).
