The work Roses, a parrot tulip, poppies, convolvulus and other flowers in a glass vase on a stone ledge, with a pocket watch by Simon Verelst was sold in the Old Masters & British Paintings auction at Christies in London in October 2013. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,036.16) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Verelst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, irises, poppies and other flowers in a glass vase on a ledge in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 523,000.00 (€ 561,882.25).

Die Arbeit Roses, a parrot tulip, poppies, convolvulus and other flowers in a glass vase on a stone ledge, with a pocket watch von Simon Verelst wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Old Masters & British Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.036,16) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Verelst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roses, irises, poppies and other flowers in a glass vase on a ledge im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 523.000,00 (€ 561.882,25).
