Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Simon Mondzain achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in March 2021. In the Ecole de Paris 1905-1939, The Jewish Artists auction, the work Accueil a l'Inconnu sold for GBP 40,250.00 (€ 47,283.38) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Simon Mondzain; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot L'offrande sold at auction in March 2021 with the realized price of GBP 60,250.00 (€ 70,778.23).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Simon Mondzain erzielte im März 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Ecole de Paris 1905-1939, The Jewish Artists wurde die Arbeit Accueil a l'Inconnu für GBP 40.250,00 (€ 47.283,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Simon Mondzain; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit L'offrande im März 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 60.250,00 (€ 70.778,23).
