Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The interior of a kitchen with a fortune teller reading the palm of a finely dressed gentleman, with other figures and children; A merry company making music beneath a fountain by Simon de Vos was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2015. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 79,743.61). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon de Vos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Convival Card Game, which sold at auction in January 2007 for USD 288,000.00 (€ 221,572.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The interior of a kitchen with a fortune teller reading the palm of a finely dressed gentleman, with other figures and children; A merry company making music beneath a fountain von Simon de Vos kam im Juli 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 79.743,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Simon de Vos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Convival Card Game beobachtet, die im Januar 2007 für USD 288.000,00 (€ 221.572,55) versteigert wurde.
