Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Simkha Simkhovitch could be acquired at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian auction, the work Young Girl With Doll changed hands for GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,334.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Simkha Simkhovitch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian dance in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,500.00 (€ 67,912.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Simkha Simkhovitch konnte im Juni 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Russian wechselte die Arbeit Young Girl With Doll für GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.334,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Simkha Simkhovitch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Russian dance im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 48.500,00 (€ 67.912,55).
