Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art, which included the work Mt. Whitney, above the Alabama Hills by Si Chen Yuan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,200.00 (€ 6,869.97), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Si Chen Yuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lookout Gate, which sold at auction in August 2020 for USD 31,325.00 (€ 26,244.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mt. Whitney, above the Alabama Hills von Si Chen Yuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.200,00 (€ 6.869,97) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Si Chen Yuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lookout Gate beobachtet, die im August 2020 für USD 31.325,00 (€ 26.244,14) versteigert wurde.
