This artwork by Si Chen Yuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Edinburgh in November this year. In the California Art auction, the work Calm Sea at Sunset sold for USD 5,376.00 (€ 4,928.49) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Si Chen Yuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lookout Gate in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 31,325.00 (€ 26,244.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Si Chen Yuan erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Calm Sea at Sunset für USD 5.376,00 (€ 4.928,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Si Chen Yuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lookout Gate im August 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.325,00 (€ 26.244,14).
