Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Speechless by Shirin Neshat was sold in the (Women) Artists auction at Sothebys in London in May 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 21,420.00 (€ 24,922.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Shirin Neshat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Passage in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 214,684.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Speechless von Shirin Neshat wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion (Women) Artists bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 21.420,00 (€ 24.922,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shirin Neshat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Passage im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 214.684,76).
