Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Shirazeh Houshiary could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work Iranian untitled (Ii) changed hands for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,711.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shirazeh Houshiary achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Door in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 122,318.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shirazeh Houshiary konnte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wechselte die Arbeit Iranian untitled (Ii) für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.711,06) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shirazeh Houshiary erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Door im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 122.318,26).
