The price achieved of USD 45,600.00 (€ 35,942.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Three Europeans on horseback in landscape, ca. 1789-1801 is the most expensive artwork by Shiba Kokan that we have observed at auctions so far.
