Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lady under Palm Tree by Shi Lu was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. The price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,162.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shi Lu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lotus in Splashed Ink in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 9,700,000.00 (€ 1,059,768.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lady under Palm Tree von Shi Lu wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.162,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shi Lu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lotus in Splashed Ink im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.700.000,00 (€ 1.059.768,64).
