Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Flowers by Shi Lu was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. The auction ended at the price of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 109,563.44), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shi Lu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lotus in Splashed Ink in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 9,700,000.00 (€ 1,059,768.64).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Flowers von Shi Lu wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 109.563,44) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shi Lu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lotus in Splashed Ink im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.700.000,00 (€ 1.059.768,64).
