Auction result well in line with expectations
The work My Father's Rock #2 (Set of two pieces)(Executed in 2020) by Shi Jin-Hua was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 120,000.00 (€ 15,377.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shi Jin-Hua achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pen Walking No.120 (Painted In 2012) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 192,000.00 (€ 196,069.57).
