Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Target Exceptions by Shepard Fairey for USD 384.00 (€ 335.61). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Photographs at Bonhams in Skinner Boston and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shepard Fairey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Obama Hope in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 600,800.00 (€ 515,840.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Target Exceptions von Shepard Fairey für USD 384,00 (€ 335,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Photographs bei Bonhams in Skinner Boston erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shepard Fairey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Obama Hope im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.800,00 (€ 515.840,99).
