In March 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Shen Zengzhi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,461.81), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Zengzhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poem In Xingshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 173,356.03).

Im März 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Shen Zengzhi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.461,81) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Zengzhi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poem In Xingshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 173.356,03).
