In November 2016 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Plum Blossom by Shen Shijia. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 17,700.00 (€ 2,156.86), 48% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Shijia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Tang Poetry in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 58,613.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 48 % übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plum Blossom von Shen Shijia zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 17.700,00 (€ 2.156,86) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Shijia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Tang Poetry im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 58.613,21).
