The work Pine In Cloudy Mountains by Shen Shijia was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2015. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,860.85), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Shijia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Tang Poetry in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 58,613.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pine In Cloudy Mountains von Shen Shijia wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.860,85) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Shijia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Tang Poetry im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 58.613,21).
