This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Shen Shijia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape After Tang Poetry in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 58,613.21).

Die Arbeit Peach Blossoms in Landscape von Shen Shijia war einem Käufer im März 2017 USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.347,54) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Shijia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape After Tang Poetry im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 58.613,21).
