Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work PAYSAGE D'AUTOMNE by Shen Shijia was worth EUR 17,500.00 to a buyer in June 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Art d'Asie at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shen Shijia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape After Tang Poetry, which sold at auction in October 2020 for HKD 529,200.00 (€ 58,613.21).

Die Arbeit PAYSAGE D'AUTOMNE von Shen Shijia war einem Käufer im Juni 2018 EUR 17.500,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Art d'Asie bei Christies in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Shen Shijia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape After Tang Poetry beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für HKD 529.200,00 (€ 58.613,21) versteigert wurde.
