Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Clouds In Lofty Mountain by Shen Shijia was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,290.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Shijia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Tang Poetry in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 58,613.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Clouds In Lofty Mountain von Shen Shijia kam im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.290,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Shijia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Tang Poetry im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 58.613,21).
