Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shen Shijia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Bamboos In The Drizzling Rain sold for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 12,444.05) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Shijia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape After Tang Poetry in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 58,613.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Shijia erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Bamboos In The Drizzling Rain für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 12.444,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Shijia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape After Tang Poetry im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 58.613,21).
