Sold at the upper estimate price
In November 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings, which included the work Autumn Landscape by Shen Shijia. The auction ended at the price of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 2,909.28), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Shijia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Tang Poetry in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 58,613.21).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn Landscape von Shen Shijia zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 2.909,28) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Shijia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Tang Poetry im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 58.613,21).
