The work Four Cats by Shen Ning was sold in the First Open | Shanghai auction at Christies in Shanghai in September 2017. The price achieved of CNY 96,000.00 (€ 12,214.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Shen Ning have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2017 the work Dreaming of Butterfly was auctioned for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,127.98).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 96.000,00 (€ 12.214,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
