Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Series of Five Works) by Shen Liang was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,600.00 (€ 3,068.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Shen Liang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Learn Culture 2. in June last year with an auction result of EUR 15,840.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Series of Five Works) von Shen Liang kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.600,00 (€ 3.068,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Liang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Learn Culture 2. im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.840,00.
