Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Shen Liang could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work Gradually Moving Towards Cooperation; & Peasants and Soldiers Poster, 1979 - 4 changed hands for HKD 5,000.00 (€ 572.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Liang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Learn Culture 2. in June last year with an auction result of EUR 15,840.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Liang konnte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia wechselte die Arbeit Gradually Moving Towards Cooperation; & Peasants and Soldiers Poster, 1979 - 4 für HKD 5.000,00 (€ 572,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Liang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Learn Culture 2. im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.840,00.
