Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shao Mi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 204,000.00 (€ 22,320.61) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shao Mi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes after Old Masters in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 5,060,000.00 (€ 527,117.44).
