Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Offering) by Shanti Panchal was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Bonhams in London in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,349.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Shanti Panchal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Setting Sun in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 8,599.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Offering) von Shanti Panchal wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.349,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shanti Panchal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Setting Sun im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.975,00 (€ 8.599,67).
