Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled by Shanti Dave for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,896.51). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shanti Dave achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 47,750.00 (€ 56,570.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled von Shanti Dave für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.896,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shanti Dave erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.750,00 (€ 56.570,85).
