Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2006 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Shamshad Hussain for USD 5,400.00 (€ 4,448.47). This price was achieved in the auction Indian & Southeast Asian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Shamshad Hussain have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2016 by the work without title at USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,779.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2006 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Shamshad Hussain für USD 5.400,00 (€ 4.448,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Indian & Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Shamshad Hussain wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2016 die Arbeit ohne Titel mit USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.779,63).
